The Cliffbury

Access statement

We have made every effort to make the guest house as accessible as is practicable within the restrictions of the building's age, character and layout.

• We have a small private gravel car park at the front of the property working on a first-come, first-served basis, with spaces for up to 6 cars (there is additional free parking to the front of The Cliffbury in St David's Road)
• Access to the guest house is via 2 doors, both of which are kept locked for guest security
• There are no steps in to the reception hallway
• All guests are issued with their own key upon arrival
• Reception hallway has comfortable seating for up to 3  people
• We make every effort to ensure that all signage and literature at The Cliffbury are produced in large print
• The breakfast dining room leads off from the reception hallway and is on the same level
• All guest bedrooms are on the first and second floors
• Unfortunately there is no lift available - access is via a well lit staircase
• There are 16 steps to the first floor (6 + 2 + 8) and an additional 16 steps to the second floor (8 + 8) - rooms 1 to 4 are on the first floor and rooms 5 to 7 are on the second floor
• All bedrooms have:
  • touch controlled bedside lighting
  • Yale locks for security and additional handles are provided both internally and externally
  • anti-slip flooring in bathrooms
  • shower enclosures (not over the bath showers)
  • lever operated flush to toilets
  • thermostatically controlled radiators
