things to do & see in and around Llandudno
There's lots to see and do in Llandudno and the surrounding area!!
Llandudno is Wales' largest resort and is located between the Great and Little Ormes. The Summit of the Great Orme can be reached by cable car or a cable operated tramway. The Orme has 4000-year-old Bronze Age mines and cavern, and on a more modern theme it has an artificial ski slope and a 700-metre toboggan run.
The town has two beaches, the award winning North Shore and the quiet sand duned West Shore. It is an excellent shopping centre and also has a 1500 seat theatre, an art gallery and a museum. Despite its modern sophisticated attractions it still retains its Victorian and Edwardian elegance.
Some of the most popular places to visit are the Alice in Wonderland Centre, Badafon Farm Park, Haulfre Gardens and Tea Rooms, Mostyn Art Gallery and the Llandudno Museum.
For those needing extensive retail therapy, not only does Llandudno have a good selection of top name stores, Chester is only 45 minutes away (even less by train) and is a shopper-holics paradise. Click on the link at the end of the page for more information.
